A\u021bi observat c\u0103 \u00een unele c\u0103r\u021bi de fic\u021biune personajele nu se hr\u0103nesc, de parc\u0103 omul ar putea tr\u0103i doar cu aer? Sau c\u0103 personajele nu mai g\u0103tesc, pentru c\u0103 pot lua masa \u00een ora\u0219? Atunci a\u021bi ajuns pe pagina potrivit\u0103. Probabil face\u021bi parte din categoria celor care \u00ee\u0219i dau seama c\u0103 m\u00e2ncarea \u0219i b\u0103uturile nu sunt doar necesit\u0103\u021bi de baz\u0103 pentru supravie\u021buire, ci \u0219i indicatori culturali care reflect\u0103 apartenen\u021ba \u0219i tradi\u021biile, schimb\u0103rile, aspira\u021biile \u0219i nevoia de \u00eennoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Studiile interdisciplinare din ultimele decenii arat\u0103 c\u0103 produc\u021bia, distribu\u021bia, consumul \u0219i reciclarea alimentelor au un impact foarte mare asupra indivizilor, societ\u0103\u021bilor \u0219i mediului \u00eenconjur\u0103tor. Aceast\u0103 con\u0219tientizare crescut\u0103 a condus la un interes general sporit privind modul cum sunt reprezentate alimentele \u0219i b\u0103uturile \u00een literatur\u0103, at\u00e2t \u00een r\u00e2ndul scriitorilor, c\u00e2t \u0219i \u00een r\u00e2ndul criticilor literari \u0219i culturali, precum \u0219i \u00een edituri \u0219i libr\u0103rii. \u00centr-adev\u0103r, prin explorarea \u0219i exploatarea semnifica\u021biei literare a alimentelor, putem \u00een\u021belege mai bine implica\u021biile culturale, sociale \u0219i politice ale acestora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pornind de la interesul crescut pentru influen\u021bele interculturale ale gastronomiei \u0219i pentru c\u0103 pe 30 septembrie este Ziua Interna\u021bional\u0103 a Traducerilor, am vrut s\u0103 vedem ce perspective ne ofer\u0103 unele traduceri literare \u00een limba rom\u00e2n\u0103 asupra modurilor \u00een care diferite culturi abordeaz\u0103 procurarea, g\u0103titul \u0219i consumul de alimente \u0219i b\u0103uturi. Prezenta anchet\u0103, ini\u021biat\u0103 de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.artlit.ro\/\">Asocia\u021bia Rom\u00e2n\u0103 a Traduc\u0103torilor Literari (ARTLIT)<\/a>, ne poart\u0103 \u00een spa\u021biile culinare din Italia, Spania, Portugalia, Fran\u021ba, Olanda, Marea Britanie, dar \u0219i din Caraibe \u0219i Chile. Salom, un poli\u021bist din partea locului, trecut de prima tinere\u021be \u0219i \u00eemb\u0103tr\u00e2nit de rama ochelarilor, dar simpatizat prin rolul de formator, se \u00eenfrupt\u0103 din felurile de m\u00e2ncare regionale. Tocmai pentru a conserva aroma culturemic\u0103, am p\u0103strat \u00een traducere termenii originali, introduc\u00e2nd totodat\u0103 note de subsol, de\u0219i meniul iberic s-a interna\u021bionalizat \u00eentr-at\u00e2t, \u00eenc\u00e2t aproape c\u0103 nu mai are nevoie de prezentare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melchor, mai t\u00e2n\u0103rul s\u0103u coleg, venit pu\u021bin din Barcelona, pu\u021bin de nic\u0103ieri, fiu al unei prostituate cu o list\u0103 lung\u0103 de ta\u021bi prezumtivi, m\u0103n\u00e2nc\u0103 u\u0219or traductibila salat\u0103 cu friptur\u0103 \u0219i cartofi. Meniul s\u0103u ce nu cunoa\u0219te varia\u021biuni importante ar putea plasa personajul la orice latitudine \u0219i pe orice meridian dac\u0103 scriitorul nu ar avea grij\u0103 s\u0103 specifice discret c\u0103 se afl\u0103 la o teras\u0103 din Gandesa. Melchor este consumator aproape exclusiv de Coca-Cola, ceea ce \u00eel transform\u0103, dac\u0103 nu \u00eentr-un globalist, atunci \u00eentr-un venetic \u00een trecere, imun la renumele vinului din Terra Alta, dup\u0103 cum \u00eei repro\u0219eaz\u0103 Cabrera, un superior ierarhic, dar \u0219i un <em>cabr\u00f3n<\/em>, \u00een definitiv: \u201eDe la o vreme prin p\u0103r\u021bile acelea se face un vin excelent, iar vara se pune \u00een scen\u0103 b\u0103t\u0103lia de pe Ebru, cu trecerea r\u00e2ului \u0219i tot tac\u00e2mul. Dar, dac\u0103 stau \u0219i m\u0103 g\u00e2ndesc, tu bei doar Coca-Cola, iar pe istorie nu dai doi bani.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Totu\u0219i, \u00eenainte ca regiunea Terra Alta s\u0103 fie leag\u0103nul vinurilor cu denumire de origine, zona a fost teatrul ororilor din timpul R\u0103zboiului Civil. <em>Acum <\/em>este mereu altul, dar <em>aici <\/em>r\u0103m\u00e2ne acela\u0219i: flama r\u0103zbun\u0103rii \u00eentre familii nu s-a consumat nici m\u0103car dup\u0103 aproape o sut\u0103 de ani, fapt nelipsit de consecin\u021be \u00een economia romanului.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melchor nu este chiar un abstinent, iar atunci c\u00e2nd alege s\u0103 se \u00eembete crunt dup\u0103 moartea so\u021biei sale, lovit\u0103 de o ma\u0219in\u0103, o face cu demult interna\u021bionalizatul whisky \u0219i cu bere de marc\u0103 necunoscut\u0103. \u00cen aceste circumstan\u021be, hrana nu poate fi dec\u00e2t interna\u021bional\u0103 \u0219i ea \u2013 pizza de subzisten\u021b\u0103: \u201eMelchor apas\u0103 pe un \u00eentrerup\u0103tor \u0219i un bec at\u00e2rn\u00e2nd solitar din tavan ilumineaz\u0103 palid dreptunghiul pere\u021bilor goi, cu o fereastr\u0103 d\u00e2nd spre noapte \u0219i pardoseala \u00een\u021besat\u0103 cu sticle de whisky goale sau pe jum\u0103tate pline, cutii de bere \u0219i cutii de pizza din carton.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afi\u0219area sau neafi\u0219area identit\u0103\u021bii gastronomice este cel pu\u021bin derutant\u0103. Vizita lui Jacob prilejuie\u0219te folosirea unor ingrediente costisitoare. \u201eCina va \u00eencepe cu frig\u0103nele cu ou, garnisite cu fenicul \u0219i m\u0103rar crescute \u00een ser\u0103, ceva \u00een plus, din afara sezonului.
