E vorba despre antologia <em>Kiwi<\/em> \u0219i despre povestirea \u201eUrsitoarele\u201d. A\u0219adar, pentru cititorul rom\u00e2n, numele prozatoarei era virtual necunoscut. Totu\u0219i, sunt convins c\u0103 cine a avut curiozitatea de a \u00eencerca un debut \u0219i a ales aceast\u0103 carte a avut o surpriz\u0103 foarte pl\u0103cut\u0103. Pentru c\u0103 romanul de fa\u021b\u0103 este unul solid, cu o poveste foarte bine \u00eenchegat\u0103 \u0219i care nu tr\u0103deaz\u0103 prin nimic faptul c\u0103 este prima carte publicat\u0103 de autoare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cen linii mari, ac\u021biunea evolueaz\u0103 pe dou\u0103 scene, una situat\u0103 \u00een Rom\u00e2nia comunist\u0103 \u0219i alta \u00een cea contemporan\u0103, \u0219i ne spune pove\u0219tile unui copil de v\u0103duv\u0103, Mircea, \u0219i a unei femei corporatiste care viseaz\u0103 s\u0103 devin\u0103 actri\u021b\u0103, Lorelei. Punctul de gravita\u021bie e reprezentat de abuzurile p\u0103rin\u021bilor asupra copiilor, pe care ace\u0219tia, incon\u0219tient sau asumat, le dau mai departe, printr-un soi de predestinare aproape magic\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miz\u00e2nd pe c\u00e2teva capitole foarte dinamice, ac\u021biunea debuteaz\u0103 \u00een for\u021b\u0103, introduc\u00e2nd conflictele \u0219i realiz\u00e2nd \u00eenc\u0103 de la \u00eenceput arcul peste timp. Dup\u0103 ce afl\u0103 c\u0103, la c\u00e2teva zeci de ani unul de altul, doi oameni sunt g\u0103si\u021bi mor\u021bi \u00een circumstan\u021be asem\u0103n\u0103toare, dar total inexplicabile, \u0219i dup\u0103 ce o urm\u0103re\u0219te pe Lorelei descoperind morm\u00e2ntul lui Mircea, cititorul \u00ee\u0219i d\u0103 seama c\u0103 este complet imersat \u00een ac\u021biune, c\u0103 desf\u0103\u0219urarea ulterioar\u0103 \u00eel intereseaz\u0103, c\u0103 simte deja personajele \u0219i c\u0103 nu va putea l\u0103sa cartea neterminat\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201eC\u00e2nd l-au scos de sub pat, am r\u0103mas proast\u0103. Toat\u0103 fa\u021ba \u00eei era a\u0219a, cum s\u0103-\u021bi zic, numa\u2019 g\u0103uri. Zici c\u0103-l ciugulise o pas\u0103re, n-am v\u0103zut a\u0219a ceva de c\u00e2nd mama m-a f\u0103cut. M\u0103i, dac\u0103 \u00ee\u021bi spun, s-au \u00eenchinat \u0219i b\u0103ie\u021bii \u0103ia. Deci fa\u021ba \u0219i m\u00e2inile, g\u0103uri, g\u0103uri, peste tot, una l\u00e2ng\u0103 alta. Evolu\u00e2nd pe axa Bucure\u0219ti \u2013 Giurgiu \u2013 Gruiu, dezvoltarea ac\u021biunii ne propune o sumedenie de personaje, fiecare cu un anumit rol \u00een imaginea mare, \u0219i mai multe cadre foarte bine conturate, cele mai puternice fiind satul Gruiu \u0219i blocul de la Giurgiu, cu societ\u0103\u021bile lor, am\u00e2ndou\u0103 v\u0103zute \u00een dou\u0103 epoci diferite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O alt\u0103 constant\u0103 este \u0219i comportamentul intruziv \u0219i dictatorial al p\u0103rin\u021bilor asupra copiilor, acesta manifest\u00e2ndu-se at\u00e2t \u00een cazul Dorinei \u0219i al fiului acesteia, Mircea, c\u00e2t \u0219i \u00een cazul Angelei \u0219i al fiicei sale, Lorelei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201eDe c\u00e2nd se \u00een\u0103l\u021base \u0219i puful de pe buza de sus \u00eencepuse s\u0103 i se \u00eennegreasc\u0103, Dorina \u00eencetase s\u0103 mai dea \u00een el. De\u0219i b\u0103iatul o dep\u0103\u0219ea \u00een \u00een\u0103l\u021bime, dac\u0103 ar fi vrut s\u0103 \u00eel loveasc\u0103, Mircea nu doar c\u0103 nu ar fi ripostat, nici nu s-ar fi clintit din loc.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00cei era dor de momentele din copil\u0103rie c\u00e2nd mama \u00eel l\u0103sa s\u0103 \u00eei m\u00e2ng\u00e2ie p\u0103rul \u0219i s\u0103 o ia \u00een bra\u021be. Din seara c\u00e2nd ap\u0103ruse \u00een fa\u021ba por\u021bii, plin de julituri \u0219i pl\u00e2ng\u00e2nd, nimic nu mai fusese la fel. \u0218i, cu toate c\u0103 trecuser\u0103 ani de atunci, Mircea \u00eenc\u0103 mai visa noaptea lanuri \u00eenalte de porumb \u00eenecate \u00een b\u00e2z\u00e2itul lene\u0219 de var\u0103.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De parc\u0103 ar \u00eencerca s\u0103 dea o nou\u0103 dimensiune pentru imposibilitatea schimb\u0103rii, \u00een esen\u021b\u0103, a lucrurilor, povestea e ajutat\u0103 de o puternic\u0103 latur\u0103 supranatural\u0103, aceasta impun\u00e2nd \u0219i atmosfera, de <em>Twin Peaks<\/em> rom\u00e2nesc. Fie c\u0103 vorbim de supersti\u021biile oamenilor, fie c\u0103 ascult\u0103m c\u00e2ntece care vin de niciunde sau vedem nori de g\u0103rg\u0103ri\u021be adunate la un loc, inexplicabilul ne urm\u0103re\u0219te la tot pasul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cens\u0103 acestea nu sunt singurele idei directoare ale c\u0103r\u021bii. Mi-au pl\u0103cut tu\u0219ele despre discriminare \u0219i despre problemele tinerilor din diferitele epoci, despre via\u021ba dezordonat\u0103 a lui Lorelei, odat\u0103 sc\u0103pat\u0103 de sub controlul parental, \u00een contrast cu cea a lui Mircea, care nu a reu\u0219it niciodat\u0103 s\u0103 se rup\u0103 din lesa mamei sale. Cartea atinge \u0219i problema sexualit\u0103\u021bii, \u00een moduri inedite, \u0219i contrastele dintre visele copil\u0103riei \u0219i realiz\u0103rile v\u00e2rstei adulte. Am g\u0103sit fascinant\u0103 motiva\u021bia abuzurilor, reflexiile asupra capriciilor p\u0103rin\u021bilor \u00een ceea ce prive\u0219te propriii copii aduc\u00e2nd cu sine adev\u0103rate revela\u021bii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pe partea magic\u0103, misterul e cl\u0103dit cu grij\u0103, diferite elemente ap\u0103r\u00e2nd la r\u0103stimpuri \u0219i ad\u0103ug\u00e2nd complexitate. Am apreciat, \u00een acest sens, finalul c\u0103r\u021bii, a\u0219ezat mai ales pe aceast\u0103 component\u0103 a nara\u021biunii. Istoria din ultimul capitol, a babei Sela, \u00eenchide frumos cartea \u0219i ofer\u0103 un contrapunct \u00een opozi\u021bie cu explica\u021bia \u0219tiin\u021bific\u0103 pe care Mircea o prime\u0219te la spital \u0219i i-o d\u0103 mai departe Angelei, un capitol mai \u00eenainte. O not\u0103 de ingeniozitate total nea\u0219teptat\u0103, aceast\u0103 inser\u021bie de medicin\u0103, av\u00e2nd marele ei merit c\u0103 nu contrazice latura fantastic\u0103, ci o completeaz\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Desigur, exist\u0103 \u0219i c\u00e2teva mici probleme, unele scene nu par verosimile \u2013 cum e cea \u00een care dou\u0103 femei beau cafea \u00een buc\u0103t\u0103ria apartamentului \u00een care st\u0103ruie mirosul pestilen\u021bial de moarte \u2013 iar unele episoade povestite de personaje nu decurg natural \u2013 aici a\u0219 eviden\u021bia nara\u021biunea babei Sela, de la final, oarecum rupt\u0103 de personaj. \u00cens\u0103 acestea nu afecteaz\u0103 desf\u0103\u0219urarea ac\u021biunii \u0219i nu diminueaz\u0103 pl\u0103cerea lecturii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ca o concluzie, melanjul de realism \u0219i fantastic, \u00eentr-un cadru rom\u00e2nesc, altern\u00e2nd perioada comunist\u0103 \u0219i cea postcomunist\u0103, mi s-a p\u0103rut foarte bine \u00eenchegat. Elementele sunt dozate corect, iar alternan\u021ba pove\u0219tilor creeaz\u0103 o caden\u021b\u0103 pl\u0103cut\u0103.
