De\u0219i am crescut \u00eenconjurat\u0103 de c\u0103r\u021bi, nu m-am sim\u021bit niciodat\u0103 \u00eencrez\u0103toare s\u0103 scriu \u00een limba rom\u00e2n\u0103. \u00cen schimb, ca traduc\u0103tor de limba englez\u0103 \u0219i francez\u0103, am fost \u00een permanen\u021b\u0103 conectat\u0103 la literatur\u0103. Scrisul, mai precis poezia, a ap\u0103rut \u00een limba englez\u0103, \u00een contextul mor\u021bii mamei mele din 2009. Sunt \u00eentrebat\u0103 des de ce nu scriu \u00een rom\u00e2n\u0103; engleza mi-a fost tot timpul la \u00eendem\u00e2n\u0103, iar copil\u0103ria petrecut\u0103 \u00een perioada de cenzur\u0103 comunist\u0103 m-a f\u0103cut s\u0103 m\u0103 \u00eendep\u0103rtez oarecum de limba matern\u0103. Sunt o poet\u0103 \u0219i traduc\u0103toare exofon\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CM:<\/strong> Te rog s\u0103 ne spui ce este exofonia. E un concept mai pu\u021bin familiar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CB:<\/strong> Exofonia este actul de scriere creativ\u0103 \u00eentr-o limb\u0103 diferit\u0103 de cea matern\u0103, o limb\u0103 adoptat\u0103. Cum stau lucrurile?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CB:<\/strong> Exist\u0103 poezie rom\u00e2neasc\u0103 \u00een spa\u021biul literar interna\u021bional prin intermediul traducerii. Oameni precum Sean Cotter, Monica Cure, Claudia Serea, Alina \u0218tef\u0103nescu, Diana Manole, Anca Roncea, Alta Ifland, Gabi Reich, Josephina Komporaly \u2013 ca s\u0103 numesc doar c\u00e2\u021biva dintre ei, unii poe\u021bi \u0219i traduc\u0103tori \u2013 sunt cei care fac accesibil\u0103 literatura rom\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een mod admirabil publicului anglofil, francofil, maghiar etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CM:<\/strong> \u00cemi place mult intensitatea poeziei tale, precum \u00eemi place limbajul mereu surprinz\u0103tor. Trebuie s\u0103 m\u0103rturisesc c\u0103 poezia mea tradus\u0103 \u00een limba rom\u00e2n\u0103 sun\u0103 str\u0103in, aproape impersonal. Este o experien\u021b\u0103 ciudat\u0103 s\u0103 inversez rolurile, din traduc\u0103tor \u00een poet tradus. Dar Ioana Cosma, ea \u00eens\u0103\u0219i poet\u0103, face o treab\u0103 minunat\u0103 \u0219i \u00eei sunt recunosc\u0103toare. A\u0219 vrea s\u0103 pot spune c\u0103 am aceste momente speciale de epifanie, dar nu este cazul. E vorba de citit \u0219i de scris \u00eentr-o manier\u0103 disciplinat\u0103.
