Ar trebui s\u0103 te ridici, c\u00e2t s\u0103-\u021bi faci pa\u0219ii, c\u0103 \u0219ezi toat\u0103 ziua cu fundul pe scaun cu ochii-n ecran, m\u0103car s\u0103 nu stai degeaba. \u00cemi cer scuze, te sim\u021bi cople\u0219it(\u0103)? Ia \u0219i tu o carte, cite\u0219te, s\u0103 evadezi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u0103 zicem c\u0103 deschizi ultima carte a lui George C. Dumitru, <em>Rupturi <\/em>(Polirom, 2023). Poate-i alta: <em>Fericire <\/em>(Polirom, 2022) sau <em>&#8230;\u0219i toate zilele de azi <\/em>(Humanitas, 2021). Numai c\u0103, surpriz\u0103, pe oricare ai alege-o, nu scapi de niciuna din nepl\u0103cerile de mai sus, ba dimpotriv\u0103. S\u0103 m\u0103 explic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tematic, trilogia lui George C. Dumitru str\u00e2nge o \u00eentreag\u0103 palet\u0103 de dolean\u021be \u0219i prejudec\u0103\u021bi s\u00e2c\u00e2itoare ale omului contemporan, de la felul \u00een care trat\u0103m subiectele fierbin\u021bi ale zilei, la problemele identitare \u0219i de identitate, la rolurile atribuite sexelor sau felul \u00een care noile tehnologii \u0219i spa\u021biile media ne condi\u021bioneaz\u0103 comportamentul social \u0219i <em>Weltanschauung-ul<\/em>. Ce este, \u00eens\u0103, atipic \u2013 \u0219i nu-i deloc pu\u021bin lucru \u2013 e faptul c\u0103 autorul surprinde o clas\u0103 social\u0103 despre care fie nu se discut\u0103 aproape deloc \u00een proza contemporan\u0103 (s\u0103 evit\u0103m generalizarea pripit\u0103), fie se discut\u0103 de undeva din exterior, de pe pozi\u021bia pierz\u0103torilor tranzi\u021biei. Este vorba de mica burghezie rom\u00e2neasc\u0103 ce \u00eencepe s\u0103 prind\u0103 contur de prin anii 2000, o clas\u0103 compus\u0103 din mici \u00eentreprinz\u0103tori \u0219i patroni de afaceri (s\u0103li de fitness, horeca \u0219i, \u00eendeosebi, \u00eentr-un domeniu ce nu \u0219i-a pierdut din exotism, IT-ul), a c\u0103ror lips\u0103 de \u201er\u0103d\u0103cini\u201d \u0219i imaturitate transpar \u00een stilul arhitectural, vestimentar \u0219i \u00een limbaj. Toate acestea sunt date pe fa\u021b\u0103 de unul dintre ai lor, care sufer\u0103 de cea mai grea boal\u0103: autoreflec\u021bia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u0103r\u021bile lui George C. Dumitru surprind, a\u0219adar, cadrele \u00een care-\u0219i duc via\u021ba cei \u201eajun\u0219i\u201d (\u201elumea bun\u0103\u201d), cei ce am crede c\u0103 dispun de tot ce-\u0219i doresc, cel pu\u021bin din punct de vedere material, \u00eens\u0103 care, parc\u0103 rup\u021bi din filmele regizate de Wes Anderson (<em>The Royal Tenenbaums<\/em>) sau Sofia Coppola (<em>Lost in Translation<\/em> sau <em>Somewhere<\/em>), au parte de <em>rich people\u2019s problems<\/em>. Adic\u0103 tr\u0103iesc tot felul de drame existen\u021biale pe care, cum se spune, niciun ban nu le poate r\u0103scump\u0103ra: nu-\u0219i g\u0103sesc locul, au dificult\u0103\u021bi \u00een a stabili rela\u021bii genuine (sau a avea o rela\u021bie de durat\u0103) \u0219i de intimitate, sunt blaza\u021bi \u0219i deprima\u021bi pentru c\u0103 acul busolei lor morale \u0219i existen\u021biale nu mai indic\u0103 nicio direc\u021bie precis\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lipsa de sens, apatia\/pasivitatea \u0219i senza\u021bia c\u0103 totul e mereu \u00een schimbare\/mi\u0219care, ca un t\u0103v\u0103lug ce sf\u0103r\u00e2m\u0103 f\u0103r\u0103 mil\u0103 ce ai g\u0103sit cl\u0103dit \u00eenainte, f\u0103r\u0103 s\u0103 \u021bi se ofere un proiect alternativ (cu toate c\u0103 l-ai pl\u0103tit cu v\u00e2rf \u0219i \u00eendesat) \u0219i f\u0103r\u0103 predictibilitate sunt temele care acapareaz\u0103 \u0219i domin\u0103 orice alte subteme: problemele de identitate de gen, prejudec\u0103\u021bile legate de atribuirea rolurilor \u00eentre sexe, dezvoltarea rapid\u0103 a tehnologiilor sau teama \u0219i rezisten\u021ba la schimbare de orice fel (valoric\u0103, de credin\u021be, social-politic\u0103).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trilogia lui George C. Dumitru desface \u0219i recombin\u0103 aceste teme, modific\u00e2nd perspectiva, unghiul de atac \u0219i stilul, de la o carte la alta.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"923\" src=\"https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12615\" style=\"width:350px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/1-195x300.jpg 195w, https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/1-480x738.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u00cen <em>&#8230;\u0219i toate zilele de azi<\/em> sunt vizate \u00eendeosebi indiferen\u021ba \u0219i pasivitatea individului societ\u0103\u021bii contemporane \u2013 c\u0103 e vorba de lipsa de reac\u021bie sau de reac\u021bie latent\u0103 a acestuia, de lipsa de con\u0219tiin\u021b\u0103 politic\u0103 \u0219i social\u0103 \u0219i, implicit, de reflec\u021bie asupra lor, de atomizare, de normativitate ori altele \u2013 pe care naratorul le pune cel mai adesea pe seama influen\u021bei spa\u021biilor media asupra comportamentului \u0219i vederii acestuia, tot mai \u00eenguste \u00een raport cu volumul \u0219i accesul crescute la informa\u021bie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cen acest context, opinia (iar nu \u0219tiin\u021ba) domin\u0103 fiecare aspect al vie\u021bii personajelor, lucru subliniat \u0219i de op\u021biunea autorului de a da \u00eentreaga scen\u0103 unui singur personaj cu alur\u0103 de guraliv. Opinia acestuia \u2013 c\u00e2nd doldora de prejudec\u0103\u021bi (deci un loc comun, deloc original), c\u00e2nd contracurent \u2013 c\u0103reia i se adaug\u0103 un ton superior, condescendent, specific celor ce cred c\u0103 de\u021bin r\u0103spunsul la orice, c\u0103-s \u00een posesia adev\u0103rului, are rolul de a st\u00e2rni, de a provoca, cu orice pre\u021b, reac\u021bia concet\u0103\u021benilor s\u0103i. Acest lucru explic\u0103, poate, de ce personajul trece cu non\u0219alan\u021b\u0103 de la o opinie conservatoare la una ce ar trece drept progresist\u0103. Aici abia George C. Dumitru ofer\u0103 probabil singurul spa\u021biu pentru reflec\u021bie critic\u0103: poate c\u0103 avem, \u00een societatea contemporan\u0103, mai cur\u00e2nd, principii de ocazie, pe care le rul\u0103m dup\u0103 bunul plac, altfel spus, reac\u021bion\u0103m doar cu jum\u0103t\u0103\u021bi de m\u0103sur\u0103, de gura \u0219i pentru ochii celuilalt, ne str\u0103duim s\u0103 interpret\u0103m acelea\u0219i roluri, ne zombific\u0103m, ne mai d\u0103m uneori \u00een spectacol, iar \u00eenfl\u0103c\u0103rarea, \u0219i acolo unde pare de nestins, donquijoteasc\u0103, e doar de fa\u021bad\u0103. Emilian e\u0219ueaz\u0103, de aceea, mai ceva ca cei pe care \u00eei ia \u00een vizor, ajung\u00e2nd, de la tipul ce nu mai suport\u0103 \u00eenc\u0103 o zi de corpora\u021bie, s\u0103 patroneze o afacere ce se extinde corporatist, de la scepticul \u00een materie de rela\u021bii amoroase, la tipul \u00eenamorat peste m\u0103sur\u0103, de la omul \u00eend\u0103r\u0103tnic, la tipul conformist, la locul lui; revolta lui se f\u00e2s\u00e2ie, pur \u0219i simplu pentru c\u0103 e de ocazie. De aceea, c\u00e2nd \u00eenchizi cartea, po\u021bi fi tentat s\u0103 spui \u201edar ce final lamentabil&#8230;\u201d \u2013 \u0219i este, cum altcumva, c\u0103ci reflect\u0103 ceea ce spuneam mai sus. Se putea face, totu\u0219i, altfel? Ce bine ar fi. Hai s\u0103 vedem, spune tu: cum?<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"916\" src=\"https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12618\" style=\"width:350px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3.jpg 600w, https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-197x300.jpg 197w, https:\/\/revistafamilia.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-480x733.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><em>Fericire <\/em>e cartea ce leag\u0103, ca o punte, cele dou\u0103 momente: revolta golit\u0103 de substan\u021b\u0103 (<em>&#8230;\u0219i toate zilele<\/em>) \u0219i blazarea f\u0103r\u0103 remu\u0219care (<em>Rupturi<\/em>). \u00cen <em>Fericire <\/em>reg\u0103se\u0219ti teama b\u0103rbatului de a fi \u201ecastrat\u201d \u0219i nevoia lui de-a o \u00eenjosi (verbal) pe cea pe care \u0219tie c\u0103 n-o poate poseda \u2013 cum apare mult mai vizibil \u00een <em>&#8230;\u0219i toate zilele<\/em>; \u00eens\u0103, spre deosebire de prima, aici g\u0103se\u0219ti \u0219i mult\u0103 compasiune \u0219i \u00een\u021belegere pentru genera\u021bia p\u0103rin\u021bilor, a\u0219a cum vin ei, cu prejudec\u0103\u021bi de \u201elume veche\u201d (misoginismul nu exist\u0103 \u00een limba lor, nici nevoia de a l\u0103sa totul balt\u0103 \u0219i de-a pleca \u0219. a.). Nu mai \u0219tii, \u00eens\u0103, precis, unde \u0219i care e \u201elumea veche\u201d \u2013 iar aici e miza discu\u021biei: schimbarea \u0219i rezisten\u021ba la schimbare, ce-\u0219i g\u0103sesc expresia \u00een tot soiul de spaime, frici \u0219i b\u00e2jb\u00e2ieli paralizante. Lumea bunicilor, a p\u0103rin\u021bilor \u0219i a copiilor, \u0219i faliile ce se casc\u0103 cu o rapiditate ame\u021bitoare \u00eentre ele, odat\u0103 cu \u201eprogresul\u201d, cu \u201edezvoltarea\u201d sunt punctul nodal al c\u0103r\u021bii. La o privire de ansamblu, a\u0219 putea spune c\u0103 o bun\u0103 parte dintre temele atinse \u00een <em>Rupturi <\/em>par v\u00e2rful aisbergului, care e <em>Fericire<\/em>. Lumea prepuberilor \u0219i a adolescen\u021bilor r\u0103m\u00e2ne marea necunoscut\u0103. Cine sunt tinerii ace\u0219tia ce se toarn\u0103 \u00een dispozitive \u0219i r\u0103m\u00e2n bloca\u021bi \u00een matri\u021b\u0103? Ce g\u00e2ndesc, ce perspective au, ei cum ne v\u0103d? De c\u00e2t de mult r\u0103u sunt capabili? \u0218i cum se face c\u0103 nu putem comunica, cu toate c\u0103 dispunem, ca bunicul din povestirea <em>Roblox<\/em>, de o list\u0103 cu \u201etot\u201d ce ar avea ei nevoie, deci de un fel de re\u021betar? Dac\u0103 <em>Fericire <\/em>deschide tema aceasta a pr\u0103p\u0103stiilor ce se casc\u0103 \u00eentre genera\u021bii, <em>Rupturi <\/em>o continu\u0103. Odat\u0103 cu el, reflectorul cade pe micii \u00eemburghezi\u021bi, tri\u0219ti \u0219i ne\u00een\u021bele\u0219i, \u00eemplini\u021bi din punct de vedere financiar, \u00eens\u0103 imaturi emo\u021bional, ce resimt o altfel de lips\u0103: cea de sens \u0219i de conexiune interuman\u0103. Rela\u021biile personale degradate, superficiale (de familie, prietenie, iubire), c\u0103sniciile ratate (cu sau f\u0103r\u0103 divor\u021b), joburile rutiniere \u0219i alienante, falsele oaze de lini\u0219te (fizice \u0219i imateriale) aneantizeaz\u0103 indivizii \u00een a\u0219a m\u0103sur\u0103, \u00eenc\u00e2t nu r\u0103m\u00e2ne din ei dec\u00e2t o coaj\u0103 de nuc\u0103 u\u0219oar\u0103, plutind \u00een deriv\u0103, poticnindu-se, ca de un t\u0103r\u00e2m al f\u0103g\u0103duin\u021bei, de orice creang\u0103 sau smoc ce le iese \u00een cale. Aici totul e rela\u021bie de <em>rebound<\/em>: cu alt partener, cu copilul, cu alt mediu, cu un alt job, eventual cu un alt ora\u0219. Toate par noi, \u00een prim\u0103 instan\u021b\u0103, mici promisiuni de lini\u0219te \u0219i pace \u2013 un cartier nou, la margine de ora\u0219; o rela\u021bie \u201ef\u0103r\u0103 complica\u021bii\u201d \u0219i f\u0103r\u0103 a\u0219tept\u0103ri; un copil probabil vinovat c\u0103 i-a dat br\u00e2nci altuia de la etaj, dar nu al t\u0103u, desigur, n-are cum; un ora\u0219 mai mic \u0219i mai lini\u0219tit, ca Bra\u0219ovul, nu ca Bucure\u0219tiul \u2013 \u00eens\u0103 dincolo de toate, p\u00e2nde\u0219te nelini\u0219tea c\u0103 numai un moment de singur\u0103tate \u0219i o s\u0103 se strecoare cel mai r\u0103u dintre rele: clipa de autoreflec\u021bie; iadul. Daniel, personajul central al romanului, \u00eentrez\u0103re\u0219te acest moment, dar \u00eel alung\u0103 cu brio, destul de repede, fie inventariind tarele concet\u0103\u021benilor (mai cump\u0103tat dec\u00e2t Emilian, mai la rece), fie compl\u0103c\u00e2ndu-se \u00eentr-o rela\u021bie casnic\u0103 aparent neproblematic\u0103. Momentele de&nbsp; autocritic\u0103 sunt scurte, dar aproape insuportabile: \u201ec\u00e2nd tr\u0103ie\u0219ti \u0219i tr\u0103ie\u0219ti tu cu tine, ajungi s\u0103 te dete\u0219ti [&#8230;] ratarea \u00eencepe c\u00e2nd se termin\u0103 iubirea\u201d sau \u201e[c]\u00e2teodat\u0103 te ui\u021bi la cer \u0219i vezi un tavan murdar. C\u00e2teodat\u0103 soarele devine o gaur\u0103 neagr\u0103 care \u00ee\u021bi suge ochii din cap\u201d. Resemnarea e amar\u0103. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trilogia lui George C. Dumitru are multe calit\u0103\u021bi, de la stilul adecvat unghiului dezbaterii subiectelor, la pendularea fireasc\u0103 \u00eentre diverse registre stilistice \u0219i structuri diegetice, \u0219i p\u00e2n\u0103 la analizele sociologice \u0219i de psihologie a contemporanilor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La nivel de structur\u0103 r\u0103m\u00e2ne, totu\u0219i, o chestiune u\u0219or for\u021bat\u0103: repeti\u021bia. \u00cen <em>&#8230;\u0219i toate zilele de azi<\/em> faptul c\u0103 Emilian sesizeaz\u0103 \u00een mod recurent, obsesiv, acelea\u0219i probleme, devine cam obositor \u0219i, uneori, redundant. Poate din acela\u0219i motiv autorul decide s\u0103 sparg\u0103, pe-alocuri, artificial, monologul personajului, printr-un fals dialog. \u00cen <em>Rupturi<\/em>,insisten\u021ba cu care se apleac\u0103, \u00een a doua jum\u0103tate a romanului, asupra temei divor\u021bului \u2013 relatat\u0103 \u00een aceea\u0219i manier\u0103, \u00een mod repetat, \u00eentruc\u00e2t toate personajele ard acelea\u0219i etape, \u00een acela\u0219i mod \u2013 dilueaz\u0103 \u0219i dezechilibreaz\u0103, prin spa\u021biul mult prea extins pe care-l ocup\u0103, cre\u00e2nd un contrast poate prea mare cu prima jum\u0103tate a c\u0103r\u021bii, unde evenimentele se succed episodic, cadrele se mi\u0219c\u0103 rapid, personajele sunt privite din diverse unghiuri (chiar dac\u0103 ni se comunic\u0103 acelea\u0219i tr\u0103s\u0103turi). Altfel spus, dinamismul din prima parte a c\u0103r\u021bii pune \u00een lumin\u0103 pasivitatea din ce-a de-a doua, ad\u00e2ncind nevoia aceluia\u0219i tip de mobilitate, ce lipse\u0219te. Acestea sunt, \u00eens\u0103, detalii ce nu aduc nicio sc\u0103dere notabil\u0103 proiectului \u0219i pot fi privite ca o simpl\u0103 not\u0103 de subsol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Versatilitatea stilistic\u0103, ce ofer\u0103 prospe\u021bime \u00een pofida reiter\u0103rii acelora\u0219i teme, modul plastic \u0219i scrupulos cu care cartografiaz\u0103 mentalit\u0103\u021bi \u0219i schimb\u0103ri \u00een societate, precum \u0219i punctul de vedere inedit fac parcurgerea celor trei c\u0103r\u021bi ale autorului o expedi\u021bie pe c\u00e2t de cople\u0219itoare, pe at\u00e2t de instructiv\u0103. Memorabile devin existen\u021bele tragi-comice \u0219i aproape \u00eenduio\u0219\u0103toare ale mic-burghezilor, de care George C.
